A great trip from Chichester Marina down Chichester Harbour and across the Eastern Solent to the Isle of Wight in the sunshine. There was a nice cooling breeze on board which was welcome in the hot weather. James and Luanne were very knowledgeable and friendly and Sunstar is a spacious and stable boat which doesn’t keel over like single hulled boats when the wind blows so feels very stable and safe. A great way to get on the water in a very beautiful sailing area.
If you are a sailor without a boat or have had no experience of sailing whatsoever, a day sail with James and Luanne will be a real treat. I recently joined their catamaran "Sunstar" for a superb day on the Solent. I really felt the trip should be advertised in a Health & Wellness magazine, so much lovely fresh air. The day started with a safety briefing and ended by our picking up a bouy and taking a water taxi to the Isle of Wight for ice cream, before returning to Chichester harbour, such comaraderie. I am looking forward to joining this most professional team again.
James and Luanne were very patient and very accommodating to our needs. Family of 6, with the eldest being 91 and youngest 10. Every stage of the day was thought out from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Sunstar was an amazing and beautiful boat and was very accessible for us all. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you both for helping us make a memory that we will never forget
A wonderful day out with Luanne and James. They take such good care of their guests, and tailor every trip to your interests. The catamaran has plenty of room, inside and out, and James has infinite patience for people asking questions, wanting to steer, dropping things overboard, holding the wrong rope, changing their mind about where they want to go....can't recommend Chichester Sailing more highly!
We had an amazing day aboard the Cat., James and Luanne were fantastic hosts and made the day really special. We got over to the Isle of White for a spot of lunch, and then back to Chichester. Great day out would recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area. Nick S
What a fantastic trip we had to Bembridge! The overnight accommodation exceeded all expectation as did Luanne’s magnificent dinner on board with pre-prandial drinks and canapes! Hello James and Luanne, thank you very much for the relaxed and very enjoyable sail to Cowes and for all the organising of supper, water taxi etc . Not to mention getting the wind and weather to perfection on the way back.I really enjoyed the 2 days away in Cowes and felt very safe on Sunstar. I much appreciated your calm approach to sailing and James' clear explanation of manoeuvres without stress, so I learned a lot. Bridget
What can I say! For me, our day with you was one of those lifetime thrills which I shall remember as being as near perfect as it gets! The trip was exciting yet safe and comfortable. I particularly felt that, although you made us feel that we were in control, actually you were always there to stop us from getting into difficulty. Many thanks too for preparing the lunch and providing coffee and tea at regular intervals. Finally, it was interesting to hear your knowledge of matters to do with all things sailing, also your local history and geography gave the trip an extra dimension. Both James and Luanne effortlessly achieved a level of hosting and skippering to the point we felt we were enjoying a days sailing with friends. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a days sailing experience and I certainly hope to find the time to use their service again. Best Regards, Lee
