Wildlife watching in Chichester Harbour

Between October and March about 45,000 migrating water birds arrive in the harbour and to see them at their best we sail over the low tide to watch them and the Seals on the inter-tidal mud flats. Coming from their Arctic and sub-Arctic breeding grounds from as far away as Canada across to Siberia and all points in between, these long-distance travellers are here to enjoy the rich feeding and shelter provided by Chichester Harbour. This picture of Golden Plovers was taken from Sunstar last winter by one of our guests on a rather chilly day.

These trips are for small groups with a maximum of 6 guests and we have a large viewing deck and a centrally heated cabin with hot soup on offer!
